After sweeping the competition with Best Film, the crew is trying to raise $16,000 through a KickStarter project to get to Los Angeles to compete in Filmapalooza. The national competition will take place March 14-18. Ten films will be chosen to be featured at the famed Cannes Film Festival.
Javier Martinez, who is a musician and part of Subharmonic City Productions, said they got the genre of mockumentary on a Friday night and ran with it. They brainstormed for about an hour and then started filming in and around El Paso, with editing done on Saturday, before turning in the movie on Sunday.
