Richard Dane Scott is an Asian-American screenwriter known for the family films Sparkle: A Unicorn Tale (2023) and A Tooth Fairy Tale (2024).

He was a staff writer on the TV series 5th Ward that aired for two seasons and has been a 3-time Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl's Fellowship Finalist.
