“Concealed and confined, obscure and over-defined. Violently gentle, anything but simple, and yet there is something insatiably primal to it.”
Taking Ellar Coltrane’s poetry as a starting point, filmmaker Kevin Ford fashioned the experimental documentary EVERYTHING IS STOLEN—a personal essay, collage, and exploration of a young person discarding the past to become someone new. Along with Coltrane and a few close companions, Ford examines mental health, identity, and existence in a moving, cinematic meditation.
