Dakota Thomas is a queer writer and director from El Paso, Texas. He has written and directed several short horror films, most notably Opening Night, which stars Tuesday Knight (Kristen Parker, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master).
His love for film blossomed at the tender age of two after his mother took him to see Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday in theaters.
He served as the producer, assistant director, and editor on the queer-focused short films That Tingling Sensation and Shipping Them.
Dakota's first feature film, Bedridden, premiered at The El Paso Film Festival in 2021, where it won the Audience Award and has since been distributed by SRS Cinema.
