Assistant Vice President, Loan Review Associate

Cristina Corral is a collaborative leader with a versatile background in finance, client relations, marketing, and media. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2010 and was the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate in Marketing Award.

She later attained her Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2014. Through her experiences, Cristina has developed into a resourceful professional with strong proficiency in bilingual communication and analytics.

While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Cristina interned at Shell USA, Inc. as a Marketing Analyst, where she planned and implemented promotional projects. Soon after, Cristina joined MindWarp, LLC as an Account Manager and Writer for web, select commercial TV Spots, and creative media. She later expanded her marketing career in the consumer packaged food industry at a candy and nut manufacturer, where she managed consumer affairs, conducted profitability reports, and performed market analysis.

As Cristina completed her graduate studies in 2014, she began her banking career at WestStar Bank as a Commercial Credit Analyst, where she refined her underwriting and financial analytical skills for an array of diverse industries. She subsequently progressed to her current role of Assistant Vice President of Loan Review, where she monitors the bank's commercial loan portfolio by assessing and managing risk.

Apart from her professional career, Cristina is a community advocate for arts, education, and cultural competence. She currently serves as the President of El Paso Pro-Musica, to make music accessible to all through educational outreach and community engagement.

She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Save Teotihuacan Enterprise, Corp., an organization with a mission to preserve the Mesoamerican culture. Cristina is a former member of the Junior League of El Paso and has served as a translator for Alas de Amor Scholarship Program in Palomas, Chihuahua, MX.

On a more personal note, Cristina's favorite place is somewhere she’s never been. She’s a foodie at heart and loves to travel and experience different cultures. She aspires to influence others to live with an open mind and an open heart.

Cristina has joined the Advisory Committee of the El Paso Film Festival. She will be providing her expertise in the areas of finance, communication, marketing, and community engagement to foster the growth and success of the festival.
